According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC), International e-commerce grew more than 30 percent in China in 2015. More than 200,000 companies are running cross-border e-commerce businesses in China via 5,000-plus e-commerce platforms. The trade volume of cross-border e-commerce in the first half of 2015 grew 42.8 percent to more than 2 trillion yuan (304.7 billion U.S. dollars) and MOC predicts that the trade volume of cross-border e-commerce in 2016 will reach 6.5 trillion yuan, and it will account for 20 percent of China’s foreign trade in a few years.

The boom of cross-border e-commerce is a huge draw for many Western companies who want to take advantage of this phenomenia and grow their business. But the entry into this market is significantly confusing, difficult to navigate and notorious for having many ‘experts’ who claim to be well connected to Chinese Government and can ‘assist’ in setting up various aspects of an ecommerce solution.

So after many Digital Jungle clients asking for support beyond eCommerce setup and marketing, we decided to create a new business in partnership with China Retail Logistics and China Search called “Reach China“. Reach China is an eCommerce business that can provide complete, end-to-end solutions for brands and merchants wanting to conduct cross border eCommerce with China. Each of the parties in this venture come with extensive China experience to form a single company solution that can assist clients in all aspects of a business wanting to sell products into China.
