JWT China appoints digital specialist as Beijing MD

Dai joins from Edelman Digital, where she has been managing director since 2013. She brings a solid digital background to the role having previously worked on digital marketing for brands such as P&G, Audi, Volkswagen and Pernod Ricard.

Carter Chow, CEO, JWT China, said, “Janet is truly rare talent in the China market. She is a digital expert at the core of her DNA, with a proven track record in building digital capabilities and growing business in China’s rapidly-changing market.”

Dai’s previous roles include general manager at WPP’s digital agency Soho Square, business director at OgilvyOne Worldwide and regional business director at Grey Global Group. She has also worked for Yahoo! China and Wunderman China.

She replaces Jeffrey Yu, who is leaving the agency to pursue new opportunities, and will assume the role on 8 March.
