Primary Purpose:

Coach Greater China Brand Marketing department is a core competency that is instrumental in driving the Coach brand strategy and developing integrated brand campaigns across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This role will be a key member of the Brand Marketing team, reporting directly to the Greater China Director of Brand Marketing. This role is highly visible to Coach Senior Management in GC and Globally, with the opportunity to have true contribution in Coach brand strategy and implementation across the region.

 

This person will work closely with the GC Brand Marketing Director, GC Marketing VP, GC CEO and Global Management to develop and execute Brand strategy for GC. Compile and analyze customer insights, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities to further solidify Coach’s leading position in luxury segment. Translate these opportunities into fully-integrated marketing plans across Communications, Publicity, Digital, Social Media, CRM and E-Commerce

 

Key areas of responsibilities will include…

 

Coach GC Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Develop vision and strategy for Coach Greater China that is both aligned with Global Marketing objectives and specific to China’s overall luxury environment
  • Be the to-go contact window with Global Marketing to communicate and align on the Greater China brand cadence
  • Translate strategy & key initiatives into cohesive and integrated Marketing action plans across Communications, PR, Digital, CRM, E-commerce & Social Media
  • Track and periodically update the progress of the strategy and cross-functional action plans; Prepare regular marketing update reports and presentations

     

Integrated Marketing Planning

  • Coordinate cross-function and cross-regional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing plans
  • Manage entire Marketing department’s budget to align spending with strategy, and to optimize investments that will best elevate Coach brand awareness and aspiration across GC
  • Coordinate and synergize the execution of cross-functional actin plans both within Marketing & PR, and with other departments
  • Support key product launches with multi-layered 360 marketing campaigns

     

Consumer Insights and Competitive Study

  • Collect competitive intelligence, consumer insights, overall market/economic trend and perform in-depth analysis on the implications of these insights
  • Proactively monitor state of the art campaigns in the market and breakthrough digital-enabled new retail trends; Understand the application of these trends on Coach marketing strategy
  • Translate the market landscape into concrete action plans which will help Coach build a stronger brand presence in the luxury segment
  • Build a center of excellence around 3rd party partners and vendors. Develop in-depth knowledge about the capabilities of these vendors and a sustainable plan to engage these vendors

     

The accomplished individual will possess…

  • At least five years of client-facing experience at a top tier Management Consulting Firm, ideally with Retail or Marketing specialization
  • Proven strategic vision, the ability to see the big picture and think strategically. Experience developing and writing Marketing Strategic Plans a must
  • Problem solving skills: identify problems, decompose problems and structure solutions to solve problems
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge, and proven track record in working across departments and regions
  • Strong analytical skills: understand and summarize business implications of numbers, industry reports and customer insights
  • Strong PPT and Excel skill is a must for business reporting
  • Native fluency in both English and Mandarin
  • Strong interest on China luxury market trends, industry landscape and consumers
  • Pragmatic and result-oriented in natur
  • An MBA from a top Business School is preferred
